Re:Fuel Event in Wales
Re:Fuel event in wales
Welsh beef or nut cutlets ... Very good
Time to pray
This last weekend we ran our latest Re:Fuel event alongside a retreat for the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon Children’s Work volunteers. We gathered together workers from across this huge Diocese.
We had a lovely day together sharing, praying and listening to God. As a far flung diocese it was good to be able to share news and stories of high points and low points of ministry over the past couple of years. There was a lot to thank God for, lovely stories of creative and innovative approaches to children's work that we heard, and each of us found new ideas or adaptations of ideas we had not considered before. There was also a sad list of difficulties that many of us have faced too. it was good to know that we were not alone in feeling as we did.
Children Worldwide has had a charge from God to host these Re:Fuel events around the country in order to simply bless children's workers wherever they are, after the difficulties of the past few years. So in that spirit, we laid on a lovely lunch free of charge for everyone there, to thank and encourage all the faithful workers for their hard efforts over this past time. Welsh Beef, or Nut Cutlets all round, followed by crumble and custard or cheesecakes! It's a wonder we didn’t all fall asleep in the afternoon, but instead we spent time together praying, and talking about how to support each other going forward.
